What’s not to love about a great golf tournament? Everyone knows that when you combine friendly competition with the camaraderie of your fellow golfers, the result is a fantastic time for all. It’s no exception here at Harbor Club. Considering our gorgeous setting on Lake Oconee, our Weiskopf-Morrish-designed golf course, and our professional tournament services, all players are sure to have a great time.

Pink Ribbon Tournament

Date: Thursday, October 17, 2019

Time: 9:30 A.M. Shotgun

Sponsored by: Harbor Club Ladies Golf Association

Format: Four-person scramble

Cost: $60.00 for outside guests (includes lunch and a golf cart), $20.00 for lunch – Harbor Club members with golf carts. Players receive one raffle ticket for each $5.00 donated the day of the tournament. Cash bar.

Last day to sign up: October 4, 2019

Details: In its ninth year, the HCLGA sponsors this increasingly popular golf tournament with pride. Proceeds benefit The Lydia Project, which offers valuable services to women and girls who are coping with breast cancer. The event includes a raffle, luncheon, balloon release, and of course, golf on our award-winning course. Don’t forget to wear your pink — you can see everyone decked out in our photo album from last year’s event.

Oktoberfest

Date: Saturday, October 12, 2019 – Sunday, October 13, 2019

Time 9:00 A.M. Shotgun

Sponsored by: Harbor Club Men’s Golf Association

Format: See below

Cost: $15.00. Additional dinner guests are $20.00 each.

Last day to sign up: Friday, October 14, at 2:00 P.M.

Details: This is a two-day, members-only tournament that includes cocktails and a delicious dinner on Saturday evening at The Clubhouse. The cocktail hour begins at 5:00 P.M., and dinner begins at 6:00 P.M. The new format for this year is: 

  • Saturday – Front 9 is Best Ball 
  • Saturday – Back 9 is Modified Scramble 
  • Sunday – Front 9 is Alternate Shot 
  • Sunday – Back 9 is Scramble

Men’s Member-Guest Invitational

Date: Thursday, October 24, 2019 – Saturday, October 26, 2019

Time: 9:15 A.M. Shotgun start (First round begins on Friday)

Sponsored by: Harbor Club Men’s Golf Association

Format: Contact the Pro-Shop for details on the new prize structure

Cost: $700 per team. Slots are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis. A non-refundable $100 deposit and valid email address for your guest is required. The guaranteed field for play will be 36 teams. 

Last day to sign up: October 6, 2019 (Hurry — as of this writing, only three spots remain.)

Details: Building upon the success of last year’s tournament, we’ve got a great weekend planned. There are a lot of fun-filled activities scheduled for this event, including Southern-style breakfasts, Italian-style dinner, demo tent, great music, drinks, specialty games, taco bar, barbeque lunch, hole-in-one contest, an awards banquet, and more. 

Other popular upcoming tournaments include our Turkey Shoot Scramble in November and our Santa Claus Open in December, both of which are heartwarming events. Proceeds from the Turkey Shoot Scramble tournament help provide turkeys to the Greene County Senior Center for Thanksgiving. The Santa Claus Open helps donate toys to the Greene County Stocking Fund for children whose families can’t afford gifts. Both are worthy causes during the holiday season.
